Join Visionairy as Software Engineer #3
Visionairy is building an AI-enabled software platform for eye care practices. We've raised venture capital funding and are deployed at practices totaling 50+ eye doctors. Founded by a Yale-trained ophthalmologist with experience building AI applications, we're passionate about transforming eye care and reducing blindness through technology.
The Role
We're looking for a third software engineer to join as our fourth team member. You'll work directly with our founder and Head of Engineering to build the technical foundation of our company. This is an opportunity to have significant ownership and grow into a senior engineer or tech lead role as we scale. The role is in person at our New York City office in West Village.
What You'll Build
- Platform Features: Core analytics engine that eye care practices rely on daily
- EMR Integrations: Secure, HIPAA-compliant API connections to EMR systems
- Data Infrastructure: Systems that transform unstructured clinical data into actionable insights
- Agentic AI: Agents which scrub EMR data to surface critical insights and then act on them to improve clinical efficiency and outcomes
What We're Looking For
- Exceptional software engineering capabilities, especially in Python
- Health tech experience is a plus, but not required, as you'll work directly with a trained ophthalmologist in this role
- Adaptable, self-directed, excited about building from the ground up
- Mission driven and genuinely excited about transforming eye care and reducing blindness through technology
